Dear students,
The Red Cross Humanitarian Chapter - Ngee Ann, together with the Students' Union and Radio HeatWave, will be holding their first Blood Donation Drive for this year as follows :
Date: 30 and 31 January and 1 February 2008
Time: 12.00 noon to 6.00pm daily
Venue: Former NTUC Child Care Centre
(Block 16-01-01 - next to the Swimming Pool's Snack Bar)
...
With the festive period just around the corner - Chinese New Year, being a crucial time for the Blood Bank as few donors come forth during the festive period, we would like to appeal to you, our students, to come forward to pledge and donate blood towards a worthy cause.
We look forward to your help. Together, we can raise more "PINTS" and "RED PACKETS"!
Thank you.

What could stand before you,
As you chose to embrace,
A cross so undeserved you took for me,
The wait of sin upon you,
When you offered your life,
As you walked the streets of men, with fading strength,
How could we live,
But not see, your sacrifice, your glory
(Chorus)
You reign, You reign,
Over everything Lord you reign,
With power and justice divine,
Over everything Lord you reign
What was your last thought,
As you drew your last breath,
Where the victory was yours for us to see,
And all will know the truth,
As we live by our grace, every praise to you alone,
How could we live,
But not see, your sacrifice, your glory
(Bridge)
See now the King of glory,
Love of God, become my calling,
Father I surrender,
All I am, to you forever

last night i got so engrossed in reading "a woman after God's own heart" by elizabeth george that i didn't want to stop reading, but i had to, cus it was VERY late. but when i decided to sleep, i can't. then i thought, perhaps i can have quiet time in my school's sports hall, like in front of the running track, the audience seat. and i can run before i start that. so good.
i didn't have lunch today and decided to go take a look and try out the new place. yeah, it was cool. not much interference, not too cold or too hot, just that i didn't bring my stuff (bible and pen and notebook). nonetheless, i prayed and sang a few songs. yeah, i wanna go there more often.
okay, vina is here. and we are going to do something to our hair now.
ciao!
i wish i could get out of this place.

yeah!
It’s quiet. It’s early. My coffee is hot. The sky is still black. The world is still asleep. The day is coming.
In a few moments the day will arrive. It will roar down the track with the rising of the sun. The stillness of the dawn will be exchanged for the noise of the day. The calm of solitude will be replaced by the pounding pace of the human race. The refuge of the early morning will be invaded by decisions to be made and deadlines to be met.
For the next twelve hours I will be exposed to the day’s demands. It is now that I must make a choice. Because of Calvary, I’m free to choose. And so I choose.
I choose loveNo occasion justifies hatred; no injustice warrants bitterness.
I choose love.
Today I will love God and what God loves.
I choose joyI will invite my God to be the God of circumstance.
I will refuse the temptation to be cynical ... the tool of the lazy thinker.
I will refuse to see people as anything less than human beings, created by God.
I will refuse to see any problem as anything less than an opportunity to see God.
I choose peaceI will live forgiven.
I will forgive so that I may live.
I choose patienceI will overlook the inconveniences of the world.
Instead of cursing the one who takes my place, I’ll invite him to do so.
Rather than complain that the wait is too long, I will thank God for a moment to pray.
Instead of clinching my fist at new assignments, I will face them with joy and courage.
I choose kindnessI will be kind to the poor, for they are alone.
Kind to the rich for they are afraid.
And kind to the unkind, for such is how God has treated me.
I choose goodnessI will go without a dollar before I take a dishonest one.
I will be overlooked before I will boast.
I will confess before I will accuse.
I choose goodness.
I choose faithfulnessToday I will keep my promises.
My debtors will not regret their trust.
My associates will not question my word.
My wife will not question my love.
And my children will never fear that their father will not come home.
I choose gentlenessNothing is won by force. I choose to be gentle.
If I raise my voice may it be only in praise.
If I clench my fist, may it be only in prayer.
If I make a demand, may it be only of myself.
I choose self-controlI am a spiritual being.
After this body is dead, my spirit will soar.
I refuse to let what will rot, rule the eternal.
I choose self -control.
I will be drunk only by joy.
I will be impassioned only by my faith.
I will be influenced only by God.
I will be taught only by Christ.
I choose self-control.
Love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control.
To these I commit my day.
If I succeed, I will give thanks.
If I fail, I will seek his grace.
And then, when this day is done,
I will place my head on my pillow and rest.
